UMN Faculty and Students Recieve Grant for "Field to Media: Applied Musicology for a Changing Climate"
UMN faculty and students recently received a Humanities Without Walls grant of $141,899 to fund "Field to Media: Applied Musicology for a Changing Climate." Each team member--Mark Pedelty (PI), Elja Roy (UMN Comm Studies), Yan Clark (UMN Music), Rebecca Dirkson (Indiana U) and Tara Hatfield & Michael Silvers (Illinois U)--will conduct field research and produce music video-based campaigns with informants in China, Tanzania, Haiti, India, and North America.
